2019 Jeep Renegade First Drive
It is no surprise that Jeep has an extremely loyal fan base. When the automaker makes upgrades, improvements and tweaks to their vehicles, Jeep loyalists already know the news. But there might be somethings Jeep aficionados are not familiar with yet: the 2019 Jeep Renegade.
The first major upgrade to the 2019 Jeep Renegade is the engine. 2019 Jeep Renegades contain an all-new 1.3L Global Small Engine (GSE) that is being dubbed “Firefly.” This 1.3L Turbocharged engine is composed of aluminum, produces 177 horsepower and 200 lb-ft of torque, and comes in conjunction with a nine speed automatic transmission. Not only does this engine come standard on Limited and Trailhawk models, but it also can go 0-60 mph in as little as nine seconds!
The 2019 Jeep Renegade has also received new exterior upgrades. Not only does the front end have a new hood that wraps over the grille, but the 2019 Renegade also has a new fascia. Also, new headlamps have been added to the 2019 Jeep Renegade that make the exterior have a more horizontal look.
Additionally, the 2019 Jeep Renegade received some interior upgrades. These upgrades include new instrument-cluster graphics, as well as new safety technology that contains adaptive cruise control, ParkSense, Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist Plus, and front park sensors.
