The 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat and Scat Pack Get a Wide Body Treatment

The 2020 Charger SRT Hellcat and Scat Pack models have undergone a serious makeover. Not only has the exterior been modified, but the powertrain and brakes have been upgraded, too! If you thought you liked what you saw on previous models, just wait until you see what is coming for the 2020 model year. Find out below from us here at Ray Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram!

What Is New On The Outside?

The outside appearance of the standard Charger has been modified. This widebody rework includes brand new fender flares, fascias, side sills and a rear spoiler. In addition to these new design elements, 3.5 inches of width will also be added to the Charger’s body to allow more room for wider wheels and tires. All of these new changes add much more character to the Charger’s body, making it appear much more intimidating on the road- after all it is the Hellcat!

It doesn't stop there. The widebody package adds about 20 inch by 11 inch wheels, much wider Pirelli tires, a Brembo six-piston front calipers that has two-piece front end brake rotors. This addition allows the SRT Hellcat Widebody to run 2.1 seconds faster than the previous model on a 2.1 mile road. Although these models excel at going fast, it is also necessary to have great tires to slow you down when it is time to stop. Luckily, the 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat and Scat Pack models only need 107 feet to stop in their tracks thanks to Brembo brake pads.

Not only do these models come with great new design features, they also come with a new powertrain. These powerhouses come standard with a 6.2L supercharged Hemi V8 that produces 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. Additionally, this engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, which allows these models to reach 60 mph in 3.6 seconds.

Interior Make Over

The interior of the vehicle also is revamped to provide you with the best experience. EPS and stanrd SRT Drive Modes can be accessed through the 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen. You will soon be able to control horsepower, transmission shift speeds, steering, and much more settings all with the touch of your finger.

The race-inspired color theme inside of the vehicle adds real carbon fiber accents through some pannels and doors making the inside stand out as well. The driver's seat comes equipped with standard heated and ventilated leather seating with the Hellcat logo and choice of color combinations. The steering wheel is mounted with heated and leather to keep the luxury rolling. Choose from interior colors like black, black/caramel, black/Demonic red, black/Houndstooth, black/Ruby red, and black/sepia.

Storage in the center console is also added to keep all things you need close while traveling. You can expect a lot of the 2020 Charger SRT Hellcat to be bigger and even better than the previous model. This vehicle is already positioned as the most powerful and fastest muscle car soon to be on the market.
