Ram Drives Back Into the Midsize Truck Market

Fiat Chrysler has not produced a midsize pickup truck since 2011, but this seven-year hiatus might come to an end. Ever since Ford and Chevy stepped back into the midsize pickup truck game, one question has been left unanswered: will Ram follow in their footsteps?

All signs point to yes- Ram will offer a new midsize model for the 2022 production year. Although not much information has been released about this new midsize pickup truck, it has been confirmed that Ram will build a smaller pickup truck at their plant in Saltillo, Mexico starting in 2021. Still a ways away, but that doesn’t mean it’s too early to get excited! Ram fans all across the country are getting ready for the new midsize model to make an appearance.

Ram has also confirmed that this new, smaller midsize pickup will not only be exported to the United States, but also other global markets as well. Additionally, this new midsize Ram pickup will be outfitted with either Ram or Fiat badges, but it is still unknown at this time.

Many rumors have been circulating about this all-new midsize pickup truck. Because no other details have been released, it is speculated that this is new midsize pickup truck may use a shortened version of the new Ram 1500’s chassis that everyone loves. In addition, Ram’s new midsize truck is also believed to come standard with a turbo four cylinder and V6 engine that will blow the competition away!

Ram has not released any other information about this long-awaited midsize truck, but we believe more details will surface closer to its production date.
